Unusual Whitefriars Design Trial Early Geometric Lace Twist Paperweight - designed by Geoffrey Baxter.
This design trial piece has an unusual design of a central hexagon made up of small lace twists. There is a date cane for 1972 which makes up one of the points of the hexagon, the other 5 points are made up of different coloured canes in this interesting and effective design.
Being part of a design trial for Baxter this is a special piece.
Bought from the private Collection of Earnest Miller, father of Stuart Miller (Whitefriars Assistant to the Chief of Design Geoffrey Baxter) along with a number of other trial pieces, friggers and one-off Experimental Pieces of Whitefriars Glass.
Stuarts father Earnest took a keen interest in Stuarts work and amassed a large collection of rare and experimental pieces which Geoffrey Baxter would give to Stuart from his office or the design department at Whitefriars, to take home to his father to add to his collection.
A stunning and beautiful design which adds quality and rarity to any display.

Approximately 3 inches Diameter.
Sure to be the envy of any paperweight collection.
