Rare Whitefriars Experimental Design Block Paperweight with "Ruby Gold" Layer by Paul Jeffries. This design is thought to be one of a kind showcasing the white split canes highlighted by a Ruby base layer to amazing effect. This design was never produced for sale.Bought from the private Collection of Alfred Fisher, reveered stained glass artist who was in charge of the stained glass department at Whitefriars in the 1970's. This is a very rare opportunity to find a piece like this. A stunning and beautiful design which adds quality and rarity to any display.Good condition with no obvious damage, there are some tiny burst bubbles from the experimental fusion of the ruby glass layer and the odd anomoly from manufacture, and a very shallow flake near one of the corners only visible on close inspection.Approximately 3 inches in length. Plus Hexagonal slab in aubergine, sadly with A/F to corner following breakage with previous owner, and a tiny knock. Sure to be the envy of any paperweight collection. We offer FREE POSTAGE to the UK on all orders over £100
